Sewnarine Chattergoon
Sewnarine Chattergoon is a left handed batsman and a legbreak bowler with the West Indies cricket team. He has also played for the Guyana cricket team. Sewnarine is a Guyanese cricket player of an Indian descent, having made his debut in 2006.
Chattergoon has been playing first class cricket since 1999. In 2005, at the KFC Cup, which is a regional one day tournament in the West Indies, Chattergoon scored 119 runs in the finals and helped the Guyana team to victory. He made his debut in International cricket in 2006 in a One day International match against Zimbabwe held at Georgetown.
Chattergoon opened the West Indies batting line up, and was run out at 9 runs by Chigumbura. He also bowled 2 overs where he gave away just 6 runs. West Indies won the match by 82 runs. In 2008, Chattergoon made his test debut in a match against Sri Lanka held at Trinidad. Chattergoon scored 46 runs and was bowled by Vass 4 runs short to his first test half century. He could only score 11 runs in the second innings. West Indies however won the match by 6 wickets.
In a total of 18 One Day International matches, Chattergoon has scored 370 runs with a strike rate of 60.16. His high score in ODI is 54 runs not out.
