Peter William Borren is a left handed batsman and a left arm medium pace bowler with the Netherlands cricket team. He has played for the Canterbury under 19 and New Zealand under 19 teams.

Peter has been playing first class cricket since 2006 and is one of the several Netherland player’s who have played cricket with the New Zealand clubs. He made his International debut in a One Day International match against Sri Lanka at Amstelveen in 2006. Borren caught and bowled SL Malinga and claimed his first wicket, giving away 94 runs in 10 overs. Borren was dismissed at 2 runs and Sri Lanka won the match by 195 runs. In the 2006 ICC Intercontinental Cup, he scored 49 runs and was dismissed one run short to his first half century.

Borren was also a part of the 2007 Netherlands World Cup team. In 2008, he debuted in Twenty20 Internationals against Kenya where he claimed 2 wickets and gave away 36 runs in a total of 4 overs that he bowled. He was dismissed for 1 run in the same match which the Netherlands won by 19 runs.

In a total of 47 One day International matches, Borren has scored 724 runs with a strike rate of 79.64. He also has 40 wickets to his name with an economy of 5.19 runs per over.
