Paul Anthony Hitchcock is a right arm medium pace bowler and a right handed batsman in the New Zealand cricket team. He has played cricket for the Wellington and the Auckland cricket club.

Paul Anthony Hitchcock started playing first class cricket in 1999. He made his first International debut in 2002 in a One day International played against West Indies at Kingston. He could not do much with the bat and got out at 7 runs after being bowled by Gayle. West Indies did not come on to bat and the match was called off. He sparingly played international cricket the following years.

In 2008, he was selected to the New Zealand One Day and Twenty20 teams. His last international match was on 7th February against England where he claimed 2 wickets in the 3 overs that cost him 43 runs. He also hit a four and a six to score 13 runs off 11 balls. Hitchcock has yet to play an International test match.

In a total of 14 One Day International matches, Hitchcock has scored 41 runs and claimed 12 wickets with an economy of 5.03 runs per over.
