Dwayne Bravo is a West Indian all rounder cricketer. He plays for the West Indian national team presently has been bought by the Chennai Super Kings to play at the IPL 5 season. Bravo is a reliable right arm medium-fast bowler and a right handed batsman.

Dwayne played for the Kent and Trinidad & Tobago clubs. He made his debut in 2004 in a One Day game against England in England’s tour of the Caribbean.

In 2005, he made his first test century against South Africa. The same year when the West Indies toured Australia, though Bravo was not picked in the first test of the series which West Indies lost, he was selected for the second test in which he scored a magnificent 113. In the third test he claimed 6 Australian wickets including Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden. Bravo had come a long way and secured a crucial position in the West Indian team.

In 2006, Bravo was in top form and claimed 7 wickets at bowling average of 27.57 in the ICC Champions Trophy. The 2007 World Cup was disappointing for Bravo. Though he managed to take 13 wickets he gave away an economy of 5.56 runs per over.

In his career total of 120 One Day Internationals he has a top score of 1985 runs with 112* being his highest runs. He has 140 wickets to his name with a best bowling figure of 6 for 84 runs.

Bravo has played for the team of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL for the first three seasons and was later picked up by the Chennai Super Kings during the 2011 auctions. But a knee injury kept him out for four weeks from playing and unfortunately he could not actively participate further in the IPL. But, at present, he has again being selected by the same team of Chennai Super Kings to play at the 2012 IPL 5 season.
