Tekkami Rao

Tekkami Atchuta Rao is a professional cricket player who plays majorly for the team of Andhra cricket team. Born on 21st August, 1986 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Rao is an all-rounder, playing as left handed batsman and also as a left arm medium pacer. Presently, Rao has been bought by the IPL team of Deccan Chargers at the 2012 IPL auction.

Rao made his debut in first class cricket against the Baroda cricket team in 2008, where he bowled 30.3 overs of 6 maidens, conceding 66 runs and taking 5 wickets. His economy rate was 2.16. His last first class cricket match was played against Vidarba team at Cuddapah in 2011. Till date, he has played in over 11 First class matches, scoring 270 runs with an average of 20.76. He has bowled 1959 balls against 824 runs with an average of 22.88 and an economy rate of 2.52. His bowling strike rate was 54.4.

Takkami made his List A debut against Karnataka cricket team at Chennai in 2008, with 4 overs of 26 runs and an economy rate of 6.50. He bowled 750 balls of 664 runs, taking 13 wickets at an average of 51.07, economy rate of 5.31 and a strike rate of 57.6.
