Paul Valthaty is a former professional cricket player from India. He used to play for the Rajasthan Royals and the Kings XI Punjab clubs as a batsman.

Paul Chandrashekar Valthaty was born on December 7, 1983, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He stands 173 cm tall, bats right-handed, and bowls with a right-arm off break.

Personal Life and Early Career

His family has their roots in Andhra Pradesh, and he was trained as a kid at the Dilip Vengsarkar Academy in Mumbai. He was then recommended to play in the Andhra Cricket Association.

As a youth player, he started playing for the India Under-19 National Team.

Professional Career

Valthaty turned pro in 2009 when he signed to play for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. He was with them for a season before he moved to play for Kings XI Punjab and was with them from 2011 to 2013.

He was the opening batsman for the team and had an outstanding game in the 2011 Indian Premier League. They played against the Chennai Super Kings and Paul scored 120 in 63 balls.

He disappeared from the scene after the 2013 season and only came back when he briefly signed with Mumbai South Central in 2018 and with Air India in 2019.
