Jonathan David Vandiar is a South African cricketer who played for teams like Dolphins, Lions, South Africa under 19s and for South African A team. Born in Paarl in 1990, this left hand batsman and legbreak player has been selected to play for the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore of the IPL 2011.

Vandiar is known to be the most talented South African batsman of recent times. This attractive middle order stroke player shots swell with each passing season, the proof being his aggressive 103 for South Africa against Bangladesh in 2006-07 in under 19 test matches held in Potchefstroom.

Jonathan has an amazing skill to bowl decent legspin and his career was put on hold for sometime by a torn Achilles in 2008-09. However, it might take time to prevent him from reaching his potential.

Jonathan made his first class and List A match debut in 2007, with Twenty20 debut in 2009. He played his last first class and Twenty20 match in 2011. His last List A match was in 2010.
