Robin Bist is an Indian professional cricketer born on 2 November 1987. He is a right-handed opening batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He has previously been involved in the IPL with Delhi Daredevils in 2012 and currently plays with Uttarakhand.

Career

Bist played in the Under-14 level for the Delhi Team. He then decided to switch over to Rajasthan Cricket to explore more opportunities. His career started by playing a match against Pakistan XI where he made 22 unbeaten runs and bowled out Mohammad Yousuf. His First-Class debut was against Delhi where he made 69 runs in the second innings but could not avoid the defeat.

Bist has the correct technique and the correct mental structure which is an advantage to Rajasthan Cricket. This he demonstrated by making 99 runs against Karnataka in the Mysore ground. The 2008-2009 season was the best season for Robin as he was the highest run scorer for Rajasthan with 422 runs at an average of 46.88.

He was the leading run scorer in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy, scoring 1034 runs from 16 innings with four centuries. That earned him an IPL deal with the Delhi Daredevils but he only lasted one year, released in November 2012.

Career Highlights

Bist reached 6,000 first class runs in November 2018. Arguably his biggest individual honour was the top scorer award in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy. He has played 104 first class matches, scoring 6,810 runs at an average of 46.01 with 15 centuries and 34 half-centuries.
