Anand Rajan

Anand Rajan is an Indian National Professional Cricketer, born in Nagpur in Maharashtra on 17th April 1987. He is a right handed batsman and a right-arm medium bowler, having represented the Indian Team at the Under-19 level. He has been retained by the Deccan Chargers team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

Rajan represents the Madhya Pradesh Team in the First-Class format. His First-Class debut came against Jharkhand on 9th December 2005. He was successful in picking up a five wicket haul giving away just 98 runs in 29 overs. Anand was picked up by the Deccan Chargers Team in IPL 2011.

Anand has a good amount of experience of the domestic matches which he can implement in the IPL. Being a medium pace bowler he has focused upon the behavior of wickets in India as IPL will be played in the country itself.

In the 27 First-Class matches that he has played, Rajan has taken 87 wickets with 4945 balls conceding 2728 runs in the match. Whereas, for the 21 Twenty20 matches that he has played, he has picked up 37 wickets.
