Akash Bhandari

Akash Ashok Bhandari is a professional Indian Cricketer born on 10th June 1993 in Hyderabad. He is a right handed batsman and a right handed leg-break bowler. His major teams include Deccan Chargers and Hyderabad. Presently, he has been retained by the team of Deccan Chargers to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

Bhandari played his first List A match for Hyderabad against Kerala on 11th February 2010. After that he has played 3 matches where he has scored 4 runs in total. But he has also picked up 2 crucial wickets in these matches. Twenty20 format has been a bit better for Akash Bhandari as in the 3 matches that he had played, he scored a total of 20 runs and also picked up 5 wickets.

The Deccan Chargers IPL team selected Akash for the IPL 2011 for his amazing bowling skills. He was picked up keeping in mind his young age and the abilities which can be groomed in this top level format. It was a good learning experience for Akash as the team had very good International players which was a boon for players like him.
