Samuel William Anthony Cadmanimage:Samuel Cadman |Samuel Cadman or Samuel Cadman was an English cricket player who used to play for Derbyshire team for more than a quarter of a century. Between the period of 1900 and 1926, he played as an effective all rounder and scored more than 14,000 runs taking more than 800 wickets in his first class cricket career.

Samuel made his debut in cricket for Derbyshire cricket team in 1900 with an amazing performance against Lancashire. He played in two more matches the same year, making his debut in bowling against the Surrey team with a single wicket. By 1901, he played in five of the matches, though he missed a season in 1902. From 1903, he was a regular cricket player and an all rounder until 1926. In 1904, he scored his first century against Essex, making a successful bowling season in 1905.

This right handed batsman played in 377 first class matches making 690 innings. He made 14078 runs with 8 centuries at an average of 21.46. This right arm medium pacer took almost 807 wickets. Later on, Samuel was the coach of the club along with being a talent scout too. He used to pick players who got talent like Elijah Carrington. Other than that, Samuel even umpired at friendly matches played in the 1930s. In 1952, he died in Glossop at the age of 75.
