Ajay Jadeja aka Ajaysingh Daulatsinhji Jadeja is an Indian cricketer who played for the Indian national cricket team. From 1992 to 2000, he was a regular member of the Indian cricket team, having played in 15 Test matches and in 196 One Day International matches. This right-hand batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler is member of the royal family of Jamnagar which has a traditional cricket history to their family.

During his cricket career, he was regarded as one of the best fielders of the team. During the 1996 Cricket World Cup in the quarter final against Pakistan. Jadeja scored 45 runs in 25 balls out of which 40 were scored in the last two overs of Waqar Younis, the most memorable innings of Jadeja.

Along with Azharuddin, Jadeja have created a record for the maximum One day partnership for the 4th and 5th wicket made against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka respectively. In Sharjah whilst playing against England, Jadeja took 3 wickets in 1 over for 3 runs which is another memorable occasion for him. Jadeja was the captain of India in 13 One day matches. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore is one of his favorite grounds.

On 3 June 2000, it was his last international match, while playing against Pakistan in the Pepsi Asia Cup. He was the top scorer in this match having hit 4 sixes and 8 fours to score 93 runs. Currently he is a cricket commentator and the skipper of Rajasthan. He was also an actor in the 2003 movie ‘Khel.’
