After being beaten comprehensively in the 1st ODI, Pakistan now look to make amends, as they face South Africa in the 2nd ODI of the series, tomorrow.
The Pakistani bowlers only looked threatening in the first six overs, after that it was all South Africa in the first match.
However, Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal are experienced enough to learn from the mistakes they commited in the previous match. They need to come good if Pakistan want to bounce back in the series.
Also, many of the senior players are criticizing the utilization of Kamran Akmal with the bat. He can be more of a threat in the 2nd ODI, if he opens the batting.
So, all in all, Pakistan are likely to go with the same combination that played in the previous match. However, there is a possibility of Umar Akmal and Wahab Riaz getting into the playing XI, in place of Asad Shafiq and Mohammad Irfan.
South Africa do not have much to ponder about going into the 2nd match. They will be looking to repeat the same performance, as in the first match of the series.
Colin Ingram was superb in his comeback, as he played an aggressive innings without any sort of risk. He will be one of the key players for South Africa in the next match.
Moreover, South Africa will be hoping that two of their experienced blokes, Hashim Amla and Graeme Smith also perform well and set an example at the front.
As far as the selection is concerned, South Africa now have a settled combination after the first ODI, and no drastic changes are expected in their playing XI tomorrow, as they look to stretch the lead to 2-nil.
A typical South African surface is expected in Centurion, and Pakistani batsmen need to play well, if they want to compete in the match.
