After the end of a big home season, Australia now move to India for a Test match tour, featuring four games. One of them is staged tomorrow, at Chennai.
Spin worries are still there for the Aussies, as witnessed in the 2 tour matches they have played so far. They need to quickly devise a plan to overcome the Indian Spinners, on a big turning track.
Surprisingly, Australian will go with Moises Henriques for the all-rounder spot, instead of Glenn Maxwell, considering the fact that Maxwell might be more than useful with his off-spin on the turning track of Chennai.
It has more to do with the form of Henriques, in the recently played tour matches. His bowling and batting, both were more than useful in those practice matches.
David Warner is also likely to be included, as Indian team does not have enough firepower to aggravate his thumb injury.
Nathan Lyon will be the main spinner, in a three men pace attack for the Kangaroos tomorrow. Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle and James Pattinson will take on the fast bowling duties.
On the other hand, India have recalled Virender Sehwag to the fold, after being neglected in the recent series. He is likely to play a big role at the top.
Sachin Tendulkar is also back after a long break from cricket, and it will be interesting to see how he goes about his business.
Indians are likely to take the field with 3 spinners, including Ravindra Jadeja. Pragyan Ojha and Ravichandran Ashwin might be the other two, though Harbhajan Singh is also eying a comeback, considering his great record against the Aussies.
Two fast bowlers, most probably, Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will take up the new ball duties.
As already mentioned, a pretty dry and turning surface is expected at Chennai. Weather forecast is also good for the next five days.
