How the two teams match up: The Pune Warriors will be a confident side going into this game. They have won two games in a row after they beat the Kings XI Punjab in the first game and then went on to overcome the Kochi Tuskers Kerala, to make it two in two. Incidentally, they are the only side which has not lost a game in the competition yet. >

On the other hand, the Delhi Daredevils are in strife. They have won nothing at all and lost two in a row. Their first loss came against the Mumbai Indians where they were bowled out for 95 thanks to a Malinga-special. On the other hand, they were outbatted by the Rajasthan Royals in their second.

So in different ways, this will be a crucial game for both the sides – one gunning for the top spot, the other needing to get to their first win.

Ground Conditions: The Dr. DY Patil stadium is one of the best in the business this year, and has enough in it for the pace bowlers to exploit. In both the games, there has been some kind of bounce and carry and that will mean that the sides will look to ensure that they can get their pace bowlers out of the closet.

The Teams: Speaking of the pace bowlers above, the Delhi Daredevils have a barrage of them. They had had to drop one of them in the previous game against the Royals to make way for one spinner, but for this one, one gets the sense that Sehwag may get Umesh Yadav back into the side. He will play a role alongside Morne Morkel, Irfan Pathan and Ashok Dinda.

The Pune Warriors have a strong batting that would have continued in the same vein but a lot depends on how Graeme Smith’s injury goes. He had injured his leg while colliding with his Pune team-mate during his fielding stint and that could force the side to make a change.

Players to look out for: Pune will depend heavily on Jesse Ryder to give them a flier. He has yet to fire in the tournament and it could just be a matter of his day. On the other hand, the Delhi Daredevils need Sehwag to get going.
