Pakistan will want to get back to winning ways when they face Zimbabwe at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy on Monday, March 14. Will he play this game?>

The loss against New Zealand, especially after an excellent start in the tournament, would have hurt and they would want to get their momentum and confidence back. Zimbabwe, too, are coming into this game after a huge loss against Sri Lanka.Needs to get going>

The game against New Zealand, would have taught Pakistan many lessons. That was the first game in the tournament in which they chased a total.

Bowling under lights has helped them in all their games and they were disappointing bowling first. The bowlers were predictable in the death overs and were smashed all over the park by the New Zealanders. Abdur Razzaq is good when the ball swings and Shoaib Akhtar is better with the new ball than with the old one.

Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi are the only two genuine wicket takers and they would want the others to improve if they want to go all the way in this cup.

The fielding and the wicket keeping of Kamran Akmal are factors that would haunt them throughout this tournament. The injury to Umar Akmal means that Kamran will continue to keep wickets in the tournament. He has to improve a lot and it is not an exaggeration if said that his career depends on how he keeps wickets in this world cup.

Zimbabwe have been mauled by all the big teams and their solitary win came against Canada. They would want to give Pakistan a fight and this is a good time to do so, when Pakistan are down, after a morale sapping defeat.

However, it is difficult to see Zimabwe doing anything if they bat second in this game. The pitch would have slowed down and it would be difficult for them to come on top of the Pakistani bowlers.
