Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first. England had poor start losing Matt Prior (15), Andrew Strauss (18) and Ian Bell (5) with just 53 runs on the board in 17 overs. Jonathan Trott and Eoin Morgan then added 109 runs for the fourth wicket to bring England back into the game.Half century in vain>

Trott scored a measured 67 runs that came from 99 balls with just two fours while Morgan hit 72-ball 63 runs including eight fours. England lost the track after the dismissals of both these batsmen and lost their last six wickets for just 43 runs as none of the other batsmen crossed the 20-run mark. Naeem Islam (2/29), Shakib Al Hasan (2/49) and Abdur Razzak (2/32) took two wickets each as England folded out for just 225 runs in the 50th over.

Bangladesh got off to a good start with Tamim Iqbal racing to 38 runs in just 26 balls with five fours. He raised 52 runs for the first wicket with Imrul Kayes. Junaid Siddique was run out for 12 runs and when Ajmal Shahzad bowled Raqibul Hasan for a duck, yet another Bangladesh collapse was in sight.

However, skipper Shakib Al Hasan raised 82 runs for the fourth wicket with Imrul Kayes. Kayes was run out when the batsman had scored 60 runs off 100 balls with five fours while Shakib (32) was bowled by Swann to leave Bangladesh struggling at 162/5 which soon worsened to 169/8.

With still 57 runs required from 62 balls, Mahmudullah (21) and Shafiul Islam (24)attacked the England bowling to take their team home with still one over to go. Imrul Kayes was declared the player of the match.
