Australia will look to extend their lead in the series up when they face England in the third One Day International at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, September 23, 2011. They are 2-0 up in the seven match series and have been wonderful in the series, fighting hard to put behind the disappointment of the Test series. Will look to get to a big century>

They were brilliant in the second game after being put under the hammer by England in the first few overs. Shaun Marsh, who has not found a place in the Australian World Cup squad, scored an excellent hundred to lead Australia to a fighting position. Needs a big score>

Doug Bollinger, another man fighting to get back to form before the World Cup, then finished England off with a deadly spell of 4/28. He also made a vital run a ball 30, to take Australia to a decent score.

Marsh, who came in for the injured Michael Hussey, will believe that he still has a chance to get into the World Cup squad. Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey, are injured, have still not been cleared and might not be part of the squad. Marsh was excellent with his timing and was involved in a vital partnership with Cameron White. He will look to score runs in this series and hope for the best.

The problem for Australia is that they have been rescued, for the second time in a row, by a brilliant hundred and a contribution from one player. Shane Watson did that in the first game and Marsh in the second. They will be looking for contributions from more players, batting wise.

The bowling has looked good in both the games, especially in the last. Mitchell Johnson has been replaced by Bollinger and his line and length is a great weapon when compared to Johnson’s wayward length.

England, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do, if they want to get back into the series. The bowling looked good in the last game, but they failed to press the advantage after having Australia under the mat. None of the batsmen has gone on to play a big innings in both the games.

However, the good news is that they have had starts and will look to build on it. Australia have the momentum but England are still the better team and will get back into the series.
