Bangladesh will look to go ahead in the series when they face Zimbabwe in the third ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday. The five match series is currently tied at 1-1, after Zimbabwe won the first and the home side won the second. Chance to play?>

Bangladesh would be very confident going into this game after they steamrolled Zimbabwe in the last game. Zimbabwe could not handle the left arm spin bowling pair of Abdur Razzak and Shakib Al Hasan and were skittled out for just 191. The pair picked up nine wickets between them. Will he fire?>

Bangladesh would have also been happy that they didn’t make a mess of the chase, like they had done in the first game leaving Shakib without any partners and too much to do. Three of the top four took care of the chase and finished the job with relative ease. Tamim Iqbal, back after a lay off, played a typical attacking knock setting up the chase beautifully. And then half centuries from Junaid Siddique and Raqibul Hasan helped Bangladesh reach the target with plenty of overs to spare.

Bangladesh are favorites, have been from the start of the series, but after the loss in the first game would be taking Zimbabwe a little more seriously. The African side are capable of an upset but it is their inconsistency that is plaguing them.

The match is going to be played at the same venue and the track should be alow and favor spin once again. And there lies the advantage of the Bangladeshis. Their two spinners are very good and much better than the Zimbabwean trio of Raymond Price, Prosper Utseya and Keith Dabengwa.

Chris Mpofu has been good with his medium pace but Keegan Meth has been very expensive and this has added more pressure on the spinners. However, Dabengwa was excellent in the last game and was very economical.

This game is a very important game for both sides and the winner will be in prime position to win the series. Bangladesh have momentum on their side and should see off the Zimbabweans easily.
