The locations for the Champions League Twenty20 have been announced for this year. The tournament, which will be played in South Africa from the 10th of September to the 26th, will be played at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg, St. Georges Park in Port Elizabeth, Kingsmead in Durban and Centurion Park in Centurion >
The Champions League T20, 2010, will see ten of the top cricket clubs from around the world fight it out for the championship. Last year, there were 12 sides who had played the Champions League T20.
Speaking to the media, the BCCI chief and the chairman of the CLT20, Shashank Manohar said that South Africa has been one of the best host nation, and the governing council is said to be happy with the four venues that Cricket South Africa have recommended.
He also added, “We are excited about the future of CLT20, and call on the South African public to come out and support the second edition of this tournament, which features the best of the best.”
South Africa has hosted the one-day World Cup in 2003, the inaugural World Twenty20 in 2007, the second edition of the Indian Premier League and the Champions Trophy in 2009. Currently, it is also hosting the Soccer World Cup.
