On the historic day of 5th May 2010, the popular social-networking website Twitter witnessed the arrival of legendary maestro Sachin Tendulkar. After conquering the field of cricket, he is all set to conquer the hearts of his million fans. With over 60,000 followers in the first seven hours after joining Twitter, this habitual record breaker is heading towards another record, this time on the web world. Within a month of joining twitter, Tendulkar> has more than 400,000 followers from all across the world.

Twitter is one of the most popular social-networking and micro-blogging website which has over a hundred million users worldwide. It has now become a hub of celebrities who use it as a platform to communicate with their fans. From Bill Gates to Britney Spears, Ashton Kutcher, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shaquille O’Neal, everyone is on twitter. Many Bollywood personalities like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Karan Johar use twitter as a medium to connect with their fans. Other than Sachin, twitter is also frequented by popular Indian sportsman like Sania Mirza, Narain Karthikeyan Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh.
