For the Pakistan coach, Waqar YounisWaqar Younis> the May 14th, 2010 ended with a shock. The reason was his team lost to Australia in the final over in the World Twenty20 semi final match.

The Australian team began their 20th over for the much needed 18 runs off Saeed Ajmal, but after simply a four and three sixes by Michael Hussey, this match finished with a ball to spare.

For both the teams, this moment was a remarkable result with the nature of the chase. Australian team were faced with 192 and slumped to 105 for 5 in the 13th over. This left Cameron White with 43 off 31 balls and Hussey in charge to rescue the entire team. The key to the victory of the Australian team was with unbeaten 60 from 24 deliveries by Hussey.

Waqar said that all one can do is smile about it. He had thought that his team did their best, and he is of the view that the team didn’t do anything wrong. They however, did a good job, though the Australians did a remarkable batting on the pitch. They maintained their momentum throughout the match, especially Cameron White score of innings.

Waqar thought that this must have set the tone and would be easy for his team to win, but Hussey entered the scene and performed unexpectedly. Waqar still can’t believe that with such amazing innings, such players can be rarely seen in the present cricket environment. So, he can’t blame anyone, as he thought that the Pakistan team did a good job with bowling and batting. It was just that the Australian team out marked them.

Moreover, the result eliminated the Pakistan team, who were the defending champions, from the match, and set up to face to the Australia-England final in Barbados on Sunday. Waqar added that the batting depth of the Australian team, especially Steven Smith and Hussey have come in number seven and eight positions, making them placed at a fine spot. However, Waqar felt that these two players needed more practice on their bowling skills.

With a great game to see, Waqar is looking forward to another thriller in the final, with England on top of their form, and it would a matter of fact with nervousness in the final. The way Australians played against his team was by so far dangerous and unexpected too.

So, when one sees such momentum like the Australian team, it is always handy, to see and play with champions, though the team didn’t win the Tweenty20, this is their opportunity to grasp, and face the English team.
