The team which has been the most victorious of the five final teams to have won this match with four titles is the Australia team. Other teams like the West Indies team won twice with the Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan having won only one title each.

The trophy

The ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy is awarded to the winners of the World Cup finals. The present trophy was created for the 1999 championships with the first permanent prize being given in the history of the match. Later on, different trophies were specially made for each world cup series. This trophy was entirely designed and produced in London by Garrard & Co team of craftsmen for a period of two months. This trophy is designed with platonic dimensions, so that one can get to see it from any angle. Standing 60 cm high and weighing 11 kilograms, there are names of the previous winners engraved on the base of this trophy. The original trophy is safely kept with the ICC, with its replica differing in the inscriptions, being awarded to the winners.

The present trophy is made from gild and silver, with a golden globe which is held by three silver columns. These columns are shaped as bails and stumps, representing the three fundamental features of cricket, which are fielding, batting and bowling. The globe on the other hand portrays a cricket ball.
