It will be a time for revenge for the Chennai Super Kings who were beaten in the very first game they played in the tournament by Deccan Chargers, as the two sides meet again at Nagpur. Nagpur is one of the ‘homes’ for the Chargers, and they will look for much more support from the Nagpur fans. 
The current points table is a cluster of teams separated from each other by a win or two. Mumbai leads the table with 14 points, and despite been at the seventh position, the Chargers have eight, sandwiching the rest of them with 12 and 10 points each. Chennai also has 10 to their name, and a win for them would almost send the Chargers out packing. 
However, mathematics apart, the Deccan Chargers would understand that they need to play quality cricket from this point onwards. And for once, try and not concede runs in the slog overs. on more occasions than one, Adam Gilchrist’s side has struggled to contain he batsmen in the last few overs, which has made life really difficult for the batsmen while chasing the target down.
Chennai, on the other hand, has quietly made a resurgence, after seeming down and buried for most part. They beat Bangalore, Rajasthan and Mumbai in quick succession to get back into contention, and the last thing they would want is to lose out their momentum now.
Murali Vijay was in the form of his life, in the Bangalore and Rajasthan games, but what will worry Chennai is that Matthew Hayden has struggled through most part of this tournament. In fact, Chennai were lucky to get the runs that they did in the final few overs of the game against Mumbai, which, in the end ensured their win, but their middle order looked to have been collapsing far too often.
Yet, it is the performance of Deccan Chargers in the games prior to their win against Bangalore that will put them as favourites to win the game, with Stan James offering 8/11 for their win. Chargers go into the match at 6/5 (Sky Bet) to clinch their fifth victory and get back into contention.
