Lee misses the excitement of Test cricket

He is on the way to retire from Test cricket to prolong his Twenty20 and ODI career but injury led him to miss the excitement and the challenges that present the long version of the game. Brett Lee Brett Lee> is of a view that he is disappointed that he will be missing the excitement and the test cricket challenges. This 33 year old has been disturbed by injuries throughout his cricket career and this has prompted him to retire from Test cricket to prolong his ODI and Twenty20 career.

Lee further added that he is definitely satisfied with his own test career and its longevity. From the moment of his cricket basic years to present years, he has had an exciting and a challenging period in the field of cricket and he will miss those things. This was a tough decision for this player who represents Kings XI Punjab to retire from test cricket.

As per Lee, his body could not take any Test cricket as it is more demanding and he retired simply because of his health issues and lifestyle. Lee even said that he just wants to prolong his career in Twenty20 and ODIs and that he wants to play some more test matches for the Australia team. This is the reason why he took the decision though to continue to play in short formats.

This Aussie player is presently in India to participate in the third edition of the Indian Premier League that is due to start from March 12th onwards. For Lee, his health and pace is important in the upcoming event to get selected in the national team for 2010 Twenty20 World Cup and also for the 2011 World Cup.

With right to the Al-Queda and the Shiv Sena threats, Lee is of the view that all these issues are baseless and rubbish. For him, it is great to be back on Indian soil as he loves to play here. Also, the crowd is full of expectations for some good performances from Lee and he won’t let them down. Moreover, Lee also highlights the significance of pace in Twenty20 games and he even mentioned that Fast bowling is a part of the game and it is needed in all three formats of the game in order to unsettle the opposition.

Twenty20 is a fast paced game and each and every over counts. So, the generation of pace becomes more important in T20 format. Further, when asked about the 160 kph breaking barrier, Lee commented that he is not thinking of breaking any records and also he will try not to break 160 mark barrier which has been set by Shaun Tait.
