Betting Preview of Aus v Pak - 3rd ODI at Adelaide

It is a surprise but Australia will host Pakistan in the third game of the ODI series in five days.

It is a surprise but Australia will host Pakistan in the third game of the ODI series in five days. With not a lot of break between the games, it will be interesting to see how Pakistan make a comeback in the series after being down 0-2. In fact, they have yet to win a single game on the tour; having lost three Test and two ODIs in succession. Will look to make it 3-0>

A win for Australia at Adelaide would win them their fourth successive ODI series; after the series wins against England and India and a Champions Trophy triumph. Should be the new captain>

The Aussies will be obvious favourites going into the game after a couple of performances in the series in which both, their batsmen and bowlers have performed well. In the first game, the Aussies easily chased down a target of 275 thanks to Cameron White’s century, whereas in the second match, Clint McKay’s three wicket haul made it 2-0 for them.

The Pakistani side hasn’t had much going for them in the series so far. Earlier, they had had at least their bowling being something to watch out for, but in the two ODIs, it has struggled to restrict the home team. Both the matches have seen the Aussies run away with 270 plus totals, and apart from Shahid Afridi in the second game, not too many spells have seen the Pakistani bowlers dominate the hosts.

The only option that Pakistan have to win an ODI here is to bat first, pile up a big enough total and then try to put some pressure on the opposition. Else, it is difficult to see punters bet on Pakistan winning the game despite an offer of 3 (Bet365) bucks as compared to 1.44 (Boylesports) that is offered on an Aussie win.
