Fantasy Preview to CSK v KXP

The Chennai Super Kings will play the Kings XI Punjab in the 54th game of the DLF IPL and with only five games to go for the tournament after that, it can be safely assumed that even a single mistake by the Sports Pundit IPL Fantasy experts could be the difference between winning and losing the throne.

Getting back to the game now, the Chennai Super Kings are all but through to the knock-out stage, but the Kings XI Punjab need to win this one to harbour hopes to getting to the semi-final. Will he come back? > Chennai may want to try out Makhaya Ntini for this game, given that their bowling is struggling to come to grips with the flat tracks in the last few games. The previous match saw his bowlers concede almost 190 to Kolkata Knight Riders and lose the game. Laxmipathy Balaji has had a bad match, but he may still be persisted with because he seems to be a part of Dhoni’s plans for the knock-out stage as well. The other option to Balaji is Joginder Sharma, who has not played for sometime now.

The only doubt about their batting is whether Mathew Hayden will be fit enough to play or will the team management not risk him till the semi-final. Personal opinion, he will be rested for now.

From the Kings XI Punjab, Yuvraj’s second hat-trick should spur him on to bigger glories with the bat, and I certainly think that this is going to be his game. Kumar Sangakkara needs more support from the rest of them, and Luke Pomersbach may just be that man.

The bowlers will also have to fire as a team, and not only be reliant on Brett Lee. Although Lee has been bowling well, the opponents may play it safe against him and try and attack the others around; which will allow the wickets to fall at that end as well. Ramesh Powar could just be that bowler, as his slow, loopy bowling is too tempting for some of the batsmen to resist!
