Mahendra Dhoni has been the skipper of the Indian team in 51 ODIs and has won 31 of them. As India comprehensively defeated England and Sri Lanka, India had the longest winning streak in ODIs. Moreover, Dhoni led India to triumph in the World Twenty20 in 2007. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India has won 5 out of 7 Test matches and has lost none. In the past 8 months, India has defeated England and Australia at home. In the past 41 years, India defeated New Zealand in New Zealand for the 1st time in a Test series. 
Tendulkar speaks out
Regarding such a successful captain, Sachin Tendulkar has remarked that he is tremendously happy about the demeanor of Dhoni. Tendulkar has developed the opinion that Dhoni is a balanced person and on his toes all the time. Prior to becoming captain, when Dhoni interacted with Tendulkar (standing in the slips), Dhoni learnt several things. Tendulkar deduced that this indicated that Dhoni has a sharp brain, an absolutely clear and uncomplicated approach.
It is a huge achievement for Dhoni that he has forged a strong team spirit. Tendulkar has revealed that he liked the role of a senior member. He said that he was an elder brother to players like Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. Sachin shares information with these two and all other members of the side. He commented that the dressing room has a terrific ambience and is not simply a one way traffic. The players learn from each other’s experiences and the coach sorts out the issues of players.
