Surrey has permitted Mark Ramprakash to take part in the IPL (Indian Premier League) and hence he can take his place in the auction in Goa on 6th February 2009. The county has offered the No Obligation Certificate (NOC) after Ramprakash signed a new 2 year deal with the club. This indicates that he would be playing first class cricket in his 42nd year also. During the auction in Goa, if Ramprakash successfully makes a deal, he would play in the IPL for 4 weeks starting from 10th April 2009. Thus, he would miss the first month of the English domestic season. On 13th May 2009, he can play against Gloucestershire in the Friends Provident Trophy match. >
Ramprakash’s record
In Surrey, Ramprakash has been in excellent form during the past few seasons. In 2006 and 2007, he has an average of more than 100.
