Domestic cricket

The Wellington Firebirds won the Shell Trophy in 2000-01. The State Championship was played from 2001-02 to 2007-08. The Auckland Aces won in 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2004-05. The Wellington Firebirds were victorious in 2003-04, while the Central Districts Stags, Northern Districts Knights and Canterbury Wizards were the winners of this competition in 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08 respectively. greg chappell

Australian tours

In 2004-05, the Australian team toured New Zealand and played a 3 Test match series. The first match at Christchurch and third match at Auckland was won by Australia, while the second Test was drawn. The Chappell-Hadlee Trophy was played in the 2005-06 season from 3rd December to 10th December 2005. The first match played at Auckland was won by Australia by 147 runs. The second one dayer had a close finish at Wellington and eventually Australia won by 2 runs. New Zealand won the third match at Christchurch by 2 wickets. From 16th February to 20th February 2007, the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy 2006-07 was contested. The first One dayer was held at Wellington and New Zealand won it by 10 wickets. New Zealand was victorious by 5 wickets in the second match at Auckland. Hamilton was the venue of the third One dayer which was won by New Zealand by 1 wicket. richard hadlee

Sri Lankan tours

In 2000-01, Sri Lanka toured New Zealand and contested in 5 one day internationals. The first four were won by Sri Lanka and these were played at McLean Park, Westpac Stadium and Eden Park. The last match at Jade Stadium was won by New Zealand. In 2004-05, it was scheduled that Sri Lanka would play two Test matches at Westpac Park and Basin Reserve. However, due to the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster, both these matches were abandoned. One One day International was played on 26th December, which was won by New Zealand by 7 wickets. In 2005-06, the first Test at McLean Park was drawn, while the second at Basin Reserve was won by New Zealand. 4 One day Internationals were played. The first three were won by New Zealand, while in the last Sri Lanka was victorious.

Pakistani tours

When Pakistan toured New Zealand in 2000-01, New Zealand lost the first Test, won the third one while the middle one was drawn. During the 2003-04 tour, the first Test was drawn, while the second one was won by Pakistan.

Other tours

In 2000-01, Zimbabwe played a single Test and this was drawn. During the Bangladesh tour of 2001-02, New Zealand was victorious in both the Test matches. England toured New Zealand in 2001-02 and played a 3 Test match series which was drawn 1-1. New Zealand defeated India 2-0 in a Test series on the 2002-03 tour. In 2003-04, the 3 match Test series between New Zealand and South Africa was drawn 1-1. The West Indies toured New Zealand in 2005-06. New Zealand won the 3 match Test series 2-0.
