The Irish fighter is 165 cm tall and has a wingspan of 168 cm.She has competed in the lightweight and Superlightweight divisions. She fights from an orthodox position and is widely regarded as the greatest female boxer of all time. Before her boxing career, she was a talented footballer, earning 11 senior caps for the Republic of Ireland National Team.
Career
Taylor began her professional campaign in November 2016 with a third-round stoppage victory. She quickly conquered the lightweight division, becoming the undisputed champion in 2019 with a controversial majority decision win over Delfine Persoon at Madison Square Garden.In 2023, Taylor moved up to Super lightweight to challenge undisputed champion Chantelle Cameron. After suffering her first professional loss via majority decision in May, she avenged the defeat six months later in Dublin to become a two-division undisputed champion.
Her career is further defined by her historic trilogy with Amanda Serrano. After their classic 2022 bout, they met again in November 2024, where Taylor won a controversial unanimous decision amid headbutt incidents. They concluded their rivalry in July 2025 at Madison Square Garden, where Taylor secured a majority decision victory to retain her Super Lightweight titles in another tactical battle.
