Eva Wahlström

Eva Wahlström was born on October 30, 1980 in Loviisa, Finland and was considered the most successful female boxer from Finland to date. She was ranked second in Europe for 2004 and 2005. Wahlström also made an appearance as a personal trainer to contestants in 2006 and 2007 in the Finnish version of The Biggest Loser along with swimmer Jani Sievinen.

One of her most notable fights was against Katie Taylor during the third International Women’s Tournament in Rome. She fought Taylor in the semi-final before Taylor moved on to win the 60-kg division. During the 2005 European Amateur Championships, Wahlström also faced Taylor for the 60-kg lightweight class.

The 29-year old currently holds a record of 1 win, 0 draw. She has also been named the defense minister and sole member of the armed forces in the imaginary nation of Valtio by the nation’s founder, Ari Peltonen, a Finnish radio reporter and musician. Peltonen has his own one-man band called Paska (shit).

Eva Wahlström is also a published author. Her book Lite räcker inte came out in 2007. She currently lives in Helsinki, Finland. She has also appeared in several TV shows in her country, mostly as herself.
