Lupe Madera
Lupe Madera was a Mexican professional boxer who was born in Sotuta, Mexico on December 17, 1952. He held the title of WBA Jr. Flyweight champion from 1983-1984. Flyweight is a class in boxing which includes fighters weighing less than 112 lb (51 kg) but above 108 lb (49 kg.) This flyweight division was the last of boxing's eight traditional weight classes which was established before 1909, anyone below featherweight was considered a bantamweight, regardless of how small the boxer.
HE became pro in 1972 and was considered to be a journeyman for most of his career. In the year 1982, he was granted a shot at the WBA light flyweight title holder Katsuo Tokashiki but unfortunately lost in a split decision. Then on the following year he had a rematch but then the fight ruled with a draw. He still had his hopes up high, and fought for the third time three months later and fortunate enough he won by a technical decision after four rounds and finally capturing the title. Though he went to so much hard fights in getting the title, he lost it a year after when he went head in with Francisco Quiroz by Knock out and then decided to never fight again.
His boxing career did not last that long, and eventually all this faded when he died in December 3, 2005.
