The fans that bought a ticket to the Houston Astros- San Diego Padres game on 7/2/09 saw a un-BEE-livable thing Thursday night at petco parkPetco Park. This is the beautiful home of the San Diego Padres. You had to BEE there to appreciate what happened.

First, the Astros defeated the Padres, 7-2. What was hard to BEElieve was the 52 minute delay in the ninth inning due to a swarm of bees taking over the outfield. The final box score of the game reveals the fact that the game was played in 2:58 plus other delays in the ninth inning.

Padre left fielder, Kyle Banks wanted time out. Blanks said he noticed a few bees hovering around his head. He is allergic to bees and anyone who is knows how dangerous that can BEE.

The delay started at 3:09 PM. At 3:56 PM, a beekeeper arrived. He performed his magic. It took five minutes to capture the bees. Next time you are at a game and there is a delay, do not BEE surprised if you see something that you have never seen BEE-fore.
