Francis Morgan Oyodélé Thompson was born of 30 July 1958 in Worcester, London. He is more commonly known Daley.
Daley Thompson is an Olympic gold medalist for decathlon. He had showed extraordinary skills for sports while he was still at a boarding school in Sussex. He was originally a member of the Haywards Health Harriers but later joined the Essex Beagles Club when he returned from London in 1975. Later that same year, he won the first two decathlon competitions he entered. He is, in fact, considered the greatest decathlete the world ever saw. He has earned 2 Olympic gold medals (1980, 1984).

Thompson was the second son of his Nigerian father and Scottish mother. His name was actually used for three officially licensed home computer games by Ocean Software in 1980’s namely: Daley Thompson’s Decathlon, Daley Thompson’s Supertest, and Daley Thompson’s Olympic Challenge.
Thompson retired from athletics in 1992 in which he had several different football clubs as well appeared as a television presenter. He also worked as a fitness trainer and motivational speaker. He also appeared at corporate events. In the 1980’s, he became a popular endorser for the drink, Lucozade, in which he appeared in many commercial.
