Sam Querrey is a professional tennis player, who reached World Number 11 in February 2018. As a player, he had won 10 singles career titles and 5 double titles. Querrey was born and raised in San Francisco, California, where he learned to play tennis. After graduating high school, he decided to pursue his passion for tennis instead of going to college.
Career Growth and Development
Samuel Querrey is the first player to win 2 challenges in Yuba City and Winnetka before his professional debut in 2006. Because of his successes before debuting, he proceeded to compete at the Indian Wells Masters and won the first round against Bobby Reynolds. During the second round, he was defeated by James Blake in three sets. His next tournament was at the Countrywide Classic, where he defeated Vince Spadea, which earned him a one-way ticket to the US Open as a wildcard player.
In 2007, he joined the Australian Open and made a notable performance after defeating 27th seed Jose Acasuso and Frenchman Florent Serra. However, he did not proceed any further until he was defeated by Tommy Robredo.

In 2008, Querrey joined the Australian, but failed to extend his game after losing to the eventual champion, Novak Djokovic. 2 months later, he competed at the Tennis Channel Open and won his first-ever ATP level tournament.
He also represented the USA for the Beijing Summer Olympics and has only reached the 4th round after losing to Rafael Nadal. He also played for the Davis Cup US Team against Spain and lost again to Rafael Nadal.

Querrey is a skillful tennis player as he was known for his powerful, right-handed serve and is listed as one of the best servers in tennis. He also mastered the use of his double-handed backhand neatly.
Because of his impressive skills, sporting companies flock around him to sponsor him. In 2009, he is seen wearing Adidas apparel and shoes, but at the start of the 2010 season, he signed with K-Swiss. Currently, he is sponsored by Fila for his apparel and footwear.
Apart from his excellent skills, Querrey is also prominent in fan bases. He also had an official fan club called The Samurai Club, which was started and supported by his high school friends. They are usually seen in his matches shirtless, with SAMMY painted on their chest.
