Fernando Romboli is a Brazilian tennis player, who is a doubles specialist. He is often seen competing in the ATP Challenger Tour, where he reached No. 236 in the singles ranking. On the other hand, he reached World Number 92 in the doubles ranking as of March 2020. His first double competition was in the 2021 Croatia Open, where he played with David Vega Hernandez against Top 1 seed Tomislav Brkic and Nikola Cacic in the final round.
Romboli learned to play tennis when he was in Rio de Janeiro at such a young age. In 2011, he started his professional career at the Brazil Futures 1, but he lost to Ricardo Hocevar in the second round. He also joined the Sao Paulo Challengers tournament but lost again to Thomas Fabbiano.
He went to compete in the Seguros Bolívar Open Bucaramanga and joined the draw through the qualifying round. Even there’s many setbacks along the way, still he managed to defeat his opponents in straight sets. His winning at the Seguros Bolívar Open Bucaramanga just gave him a ticket to enter the Brasil Open as a wildcard. The Brasil Open was considered to be his first ATP World Tournament.
In 2021, Romboli was unfortunately tested positive for the usage of diuretics furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide, and he received an 8-month suspension.
