Tennis Juniors and Davis Cup
At a young age, Kecmanovic had already been participating in competitive tennis, such as the Orange Bowl, where he won against the current World Number 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas. He managed to reach the final round of the 2016 Junior US Open, however, he was defeated by Félix Auger-Aliassime. In 2016, he finished the year being the ITF Juniors World Number 1.
Kecmanovic became a representative for the Serbian Davis Cup Team, where the team had tied with Great Britain in the quarterfinals. Due to the tie results, each team has to represent a new young player to practice with the tenured players, so they could gain more experience.
In 2017, Kecmanovic officially debuted as a professional tennis player when he joined an ITF tournament in Sunrise, Florida. Because of his performance for the past year, he earned a wildcard entry for the Miami Masters. During the tournament, he was able to play against the World Number 117 Henri Laaksonen, before losing to Lukas Lacko. He also received another wildcard entry for him to join the Panama Cup Challenger, where he defeated Horacio Zeballos.
In 2020, he won his first ATP title at the Austrian Open Kitzbühel and surpassed great players like Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Jordan Thompson.
