Lin Zhu is a female Chinese professional tennis player born on January 28, 1994 in Wuxi, China. She favors forehand shots and is characteristically an aggressive player. During the summer, she trains in Beijing and Shenzhen during the winter. She plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand.
Zhu started playing tennis at 4 years old and started playing professionally in 2009 at an ITF event in China. She won a singles ITF title in 2011 and continued to play in the circuit for a couple of years. In 2014, she won 4 ITF singles titles and two ITF doubles titles.
She was able to reach the semifinal at Kuala Lumpur and won two ITF doubles titles in 2016. Zhu reached the quarterfinal at Tianjin, Nanchang, and Taipei City in 2017. In 2018, she reached the semifinal in Nanchang and won two ITF singles titles.
Since turning pro, Zhu has a career record of 281 victories and 189 losses. She also won 10 ITF career titles in singles. In doubles, she has a career record of 98 victories and 107 losses. The highest rank she achieved was at No. 93, which she attained on February 25, 2019. Currently, she is ranked at No. 104 as of June 24, 2019. Zhu still has to win a Grand Slam tournament but has already made appearances at the four Grand Slam events.
