Magda Linette was born on February 12, 1992, in Poznań, Poland. She stands 171 cm tall and she plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand.

She turned pro in 2009 and has since earned more than US$5.3 Million in prize money.

She has worked with Dawid Celt and she is also coached by Mark Gellard and Izudin Zunić.

Career

She turned pro in 2009 but did not make it to her first Grand Slam main draw debut until 2015. It was the French Open but she lost in the first round.

Since then, she has consistently appeared in the Grand Slam main draws. In 2016, she made her first WTA 1000 appearance when she made it to the third round of the Miami Open.

In 2021 when she made it to the third round of the French Open in women’s singles and the semifinals in women’s doubles. In the same year, she was also in the semis of the women’s doubles for the Canadian Open.

In 2023, she made it all the way through to the semifinals of the Australian Open women’s doubles.
