Former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova says she’s delighted to have knocked off world number three Agnieszka Radwanska as she targets the Dubai Tennis Championships title.

The Czech was too good for Radwanska, winning 6-2 6-4, and now moves into the semifinals where she’ll meet Caroline Wozniacki.

“I think to beat Agnieszka here it means something more because she’s defending champion, so she’s playing well here,” Kvitova said.

“So that’s a good sign for me.”

Wozniacki got past Marion Bartoli 4-6 6-1 6-4 in her quarter-final.

“It was disappointing to lose that first set after I had been up,” Wozniacki said.

“But then I felt like she couldn’t really do much in that second set because I was all over it.”

Italian duo Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci will face off in the other semifinal.
