Novak Djokovic Firm about Not Disclosing his Vaccination Status
Novak Djokovic wipes his face during his match against Jan-Lennard Struff in a Davis Cup group F match between Serbia and Germany in Innsbruck, Austria, Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021.

During an interview with Srdjan Djokovic, Novak Djokovic’s father, it seemed like he shares the same belief with his son not to disclose his vaccination status.

He also indicated in the interview that his son might skip the Australian Open next year because he refused to reveal his vaccination status.

Although many fans are anticipating Djokovic’s attendance, the Australian ministry has been firm about allowing vaccinated players only, in respect to their people of Australia. Even former World Number 1 Rafael Nadal won’t be happy if he won’t see his longtime rival on the court in the Australian Open.

Srdjan was also firm about not sharing if his son is vaccinated or not because Novak has the right to decide whatever he wants. He also mentioned that it’s an individual personal right whether they wanted to be vaccinated or not, and they have every right to decide on their health.

Srdjan is clear that Novak might not play at the Australian Open under these conditions and other health-related blackmails Novak has been receiving. He also directly pointed out to the director of the Australian Open, Craig Tiley about what kind of vaccine is not recognized. As far as Srdjan knows, only Chinese and Russian vaccines are recognized.

He ended his statement that if the Australian government should recognize the Russian vaccine, then they will be vaccinated with pleasure.

Novak Djokovic is currently playing in the Davis Cup Tournament, and soon after, in the World Tennis Championship by December.
