Currently ranked at World Number One, Novak Djokovic admitted that he lost his cool at the umpire, as there was a lengthy, heavy rain delay that happened in the Italian Open. He was bound to play against Taylor Fritz at that time. As soon as he felt the rain fell, he yelled, “How much more you wanna play?”

Nacho Fordacell is the umpire in charge during their play, and he said that he’s about to assess the court when Djokovic started shouting, “I asked you three times, you are not checking anything.”

This made the titleholder Djokovic waited for about three hours until he won victoriously against Fritz. After the rain delay, Djokovic is seen apologizing to Fordacell and said, “Sorry for screaming at you.”

He noted that they have played two sets under the heavy rain, and it was quite dangerous for them to do so, and he lost his cool towards the second set. To play under the rain is a strange and difficult match to cope with, especially when they’re playing at the clay court. Djokovic also commended Fritz because of his performance and great servings.

Novak Djokovic is expected to play either Cameron Norrie or Alejandro Davidovich at the Italian Open for the quarter-finals. As of now, Djokovic revealed that he needs to spend more time with his family and less time playing tennis after he planned to overtake Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in the 20 Grand Slam Singles Titles.
