After her severe and painful loss to Naomi Osaka during the Australian Open last February, Serena Williams is back in action as she ventured confidently at the Internazionali BNL dItalia in Rome. The 23-time Grand Slam Champion took Instagram by storm by promising her fans to be back on the court as she is currently training ahead of Roland Garros.

She said in a post that even though no one asked, but the RenasArmy (her fanbase) is doing all the work and her hard work is dedicated to her fans. She is also trained with former Wimbledon Zina Garrison and fitness trainer Mackie Shilstone. For the past two and a half weeks, they have been training block with Williams and noted that she is “GOAT” for a reason.

Williams who dropped two games against Laura Siegemund in Melbourne will enter the draw as the Lucky Loser, and she will be competing against either Siegemund or French Open semifinalist Nadia Podoroska. Williams also said that everyone is readying the Top 10 positions, so she also has to train a lot this time to be included.

Williams also shared that she felt good about coming to Rome, and she’s confident enough to get some good matches here and will have another Grand Slam under her belt. The tennis tournament in Rome has been one of the most successful clay tournaments for Williams, and her recent winning in Rome was in 2016.
