In soccer, a kick off is a system in which disputes are settled by having one of the teams make one kick toward the goal with no obstruction but the efforts of the goalie. This is an important part of any soccer game in settling disputes and breaking ties.

Kick off is also a computer game, designed for play on personal computers at home that was first released in 1989. It was made for the Amiga and the Atari ST computer games. They are excellent simulations of real world soccer but without the equipment or the bad attitudes that so often come along with real world soccer games.
