Founded in 1947, Club Deportivo Moron is from the district of Moron in Buenos Aires. Started with the name Club Sportivo Moron, the club was renamed to its current name in 1951. After three years of its inception the club began playing in the AFA, in Tercera de Ascenso, which is now the Primera D Metropolitana. Currently the team plays in the Primera B Metropolitana, or the third division of the Argentine football Association.
Their major title wins include, the Tercera de Ascenso in 1955, Primera Division C in 1959 and 1980, the Primera B in 1970, the Primera B Metropolitana in the 1989-90 season. The most notable former players of the club include Renato Corsi, Roman Martinez, Ariel Silvio Zarate, Sebastian Peratta and many others.
