Accrington Stanley FC is an English football club based in Accrington in Lancashire. They currently feature in League Two.

Accrington Stanley FC were established in 1968 and gradually climbed up through the non-League strata to reach the Football League.

In 1995 Accrington were taken control of by local businessman Eric Whalley and in 2005-2006 after they had won the Football Conference, they gained promotion to League Two.

Accrington Stanley play their home matches at Crown Ground that can accommodate 5,057 spectators. They bear the nicknames ‘Stanley’, ‘The ‘Owd Reds’ and ‘Accy’.
