Milton Keynes Dons Football Club formed after Wimbledon FC relocated to the Buckinghamshire city in 2004. The move also heralded the formation of a new London based club AFC Wimbledon who are fierce rivals of the MK Dons

The team plays in Football League One and plays at stadium:mk, which seats 22,000. The stadium has recently been shortlisted to hold World Cup matches when the tournament returns to England in 2018.

Managing the team is former England captain and top-player Paul Ince, who brought success to the club in his first spell as manager, winning both the English League Two title and the Johnstones Paint Cup in the 2007/2008 season.

Ince rejoined the team after a brief spell with Blackburn Rovers in the English Premier League replacing former Italy and Chelsea midfileder Roberto Di Matteo who left to take charge at West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship.
