Guia Jul26Mikel So, basically sneakipg, you think we should be happy with finishing mid table every year & reaching the quarter final of the league cup? We should be grateful that we are even in the division? As you quite rightfully say, Everton ARE on of the biggest names in English Football, a ‘Grand Old Team’, and as such we fans are not content with that. Do you think that glorious team of the mid 1980’s would have been content with a 7th place finish? Getting knocked out of the league cup by some no mark club? We’re Everton aren’t we? I think I speak for a majority of Evertonians when I say that we want success, and not in the small minded way you think we should….A trophy, European football, a signing that actually costs some money and isn’t some kid from Greece or a free transfer from a league 1 side. Is that really too much to ask for a great club like ours?In the last 2 days, we have reportedly been outbid for a goalkeeper, who has now signed for Leeds for 150K, and linked with a move for ex-reserve star James McFadden, who was recently released on a free by one of the Premierships relagated clubs. All this while one of our closest rivals Aston Villa shell out 9.5m on a winger that our squad is crying out for.We aren’t asking for a billionaire, we just want some parity with some of our rivals in this division to give us a fair chance of competing. David Moyes has continuously performed miracles during his tenure to ensure we remain in the top half of the Premiership, however without any backing whatsoever, how long can he keep that up?!
