Le Mans UC72, popularly known as simply Le Mans, are French a football club based in Le Mans. They currently feature in the French Ligue 1.
Le Mans Union Club 72 were founded way back in 1902 and qualified for the Championnat de la France in 1910. Hey spent most of their history in relative obscurity and in 1985 were refounded as Le Mans UC72.

Le Mans were promoted to the French Ligue 1 for the 2003-2004 season for their first ever season in history. They were relegated after one season but bounced back immediately and established themselves in the French top flight, finishing 11th, 12th and 8th in 2006, 2007 and 2008 respectively.
Le Mans play their home matches at the Stade Leon-Bollee that can host 16,500 spectators.
